Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 Cup of Butter
2/3 cup each white and Brown Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
Large Pinch of Salt
Chocolate Chips

Preheat oven to 350.
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and mix well. Add in the dry ingredients and combine. At the end add the chocolate chips. Bake until browned on the edges. (approx 10 minutes)

I got to use my homemade vanilla extract for these so I was very excited. Gemgirl is coming this weekend and I wanted to have some baking in the house for her.

The recipe for these comes from the Credition Cook Book - a book my Grandmother's church put out back in the very early 80's. The baking bits are great. I just avoid the ones for Jell-o salads.
