Our balcony looks out over down town London. We have a nice view and can see quite a ways. Last night we watched the fireworks going off down in Harris Park.
We went to the park last year to see then, and fought with the traffic and crowds. It was cold and we only had a partial view because of a big tree.
But fireworks lose some of their awe -inspiring dazzle when you can't feel them going off as you see it. The booming and snapping of the small explosions are as much a part of the whole experience as the light show.
But the Moon was huge and orange last night. It skulked behind the clouds and glared at the city.
